What does the OOO ASX ETF invest in?

OOO aims to track the performance of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil futures contracts traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). It does so by investing its assets in cash and is paid the performance of the underlying index by a counterparty via ‘swap’ agreements with one or more financial institutions. Investors should be mindful that the price of oil futures contracts (i.e., the price of oil in the future) is not the same as the spot price (i.e., the current market price of oil).

What do investors use the OOO ETF for?

The BetaShares OOO ETF could be used by investors to take a view on oil prices in the future or to diverisify a portfolio with the commodity of oil.
