The BetaShares ASIA ETF invests in around 50 of the largest technology and online retail shares (in terms of market capitalisation) that have the majority of their business in Asia (excluding Japan). These companies dominate e-commerce, telecommunications, IT, software, data processing and computer communications industries in the Asian region (again, excluding Japan). Think technology giants such as Tencent, Alibaba and Samsung.
